Oak Vale is situated in the beautiful village of Braithwaite, just outside of Keswick. With two pubs in the village and a hotel and restaurant next door to the property, you are within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants and bars within the village. There are also two cafes and a Village Shop. Explore the Northern Fells with great walking and mountain biking on your doorstep, as well as the Go Ape and visitor centre at Whinlatter. The bustling market town of Keswick is just 2 miles away, with its superb selection of shops, attractions, and Lake Derwentwater all within easy reach. Combine this with the magnificent surroundings of Lakes and mountains and here you have found the ideal location for your stay. The nearest bus stop is just a 5-minute walk from the property, making is super easy to explore the area.
Oak Leaf, although the smaller of the two 1 bedroomed properties, provides an ideal base for a couple to get away and relax. Recently refurbished to the highest standard with lovely fell views from the bedroom. There is a small patio with table and chairs.

A comfortable, warm and cosy cottage only 2 miles from Keswick. The entire cottage is ideal for a couple, is well equipped and has a very comfortable bed with good quality bedding and towels. The cottage is nicely decorated throughout, all in all a very good base. An added bonus is a car parking space on site.

I Thoroughly enjoyed my time at "Oakvale-Oakleaf" weather was mixed and as a Photographer that suited me, I found the Cottage extremely comfortable everything was there that you needed,always nice and warm after a day walking in the Fells, walks direct from the Cottage in scenery you never tire of, I hope to go back in the new year for another couple of weeks, easy access to places to eat and places to shop, I recommend the Cottage.

Lovy clean cottage with lots of unexpected little extras. Very central for walks, buses.pubs & 2 lovely coffee shops in the village. Would highly recommend weve stayed in Oakleaf twice & Oakvale once both are lovely & can't wait to return
