Oak Vale is situated in the beautiful village of Braithwaite, just outside of Keswick. With two pubs in the village and a hotel and restaurant next door to the property, you are within walking distance of some fantastic restaurants and bars within the village. There are also two cafes and a Village Shop. Explore the Northern Fells with great walking and mountain biking on your doorstep, as well as the Go Ape and visitor centre at Whinlatter. The bustling market town of Keswick is just 2 miles away, with its superb selection of shops, attractions, and Lake Derwentwater all within easy reach. Combine this with the magnificent surroundings of Lakes and mountains and here you have found the ideal location for your stay. The nearest bus stop is just a 5-minute walk from the property, making is super easy to explore the area.
Oak Leaf, although the smaller of the two 1 bedroomed properties, provides an ideal base for a couple to get away and relax. Recently refurbished to the highest standard with lovely fell views from the bedroom. There is a small patio with table and chairs.

We had an amazing time here at oakvale. It's in such an ideal location. The views are stunning. You can either walk to some of the mountains from the bungalow or where it's located you can easily drive to them. The accommodation was lovely, it has everything you need if you want to cook. Or there's plenty of food places to eat. There's a couple of pubs within walking distance or there's lots of options in Keswick itself. There's a local village shop or there's a couple of supermarkets in Keswick itself. The accommodation was clean and I liked that there were cleaning products available for pots, cleaning sides down etc. There's access to a washing machine and tumble dryer which is handy when you've been out hiking. Overall it's a great little holiday home perfect for two people. The double bed can be split into two singles which was great for us. The showers lovely and the view from our bedroom window was beautiful. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay and I can highly recommend it. Keswick has definitely stolen my heart and I will be back again.

Nice accommodation well equipped in a great location. The wardrobe needs attention as the doors jam, otherwise no issues. Great rainfall shower.Bike storage was good and useful.

We had a lovely stay at Oakvale Oak Leaf. The property was compact & had everything we needed. Comfortable bed & excellent shower. The best view was from the bedroom window. No other views. The kitchen area was a bit dated & frustrating that the ignition on the gas hob didn't work. The patio area wasn't as private as we thought it was from the description as it's also the path through to the other property, Acorn. Excellent location giving great access at the Fells. The main road noise is apparent.
