I would recommend as the cottage is in a great location if you want to explore the surrounding area and leave the car at the cottage. Most things have been thought of in the cottage, we found a mop in the garden cupboard to keep the floors clean as we had dogs. My criticism would be that in places the cottage has areas that could do with a decoration update, bathroom windowsill is pitted and peeling. Knocks and bashes about the cottage give it a scruffy appearance. The double bedroom looks like it hasn’t had any attention, the curtains have too many rings unused so are really difficult to draw and the hooks fly off at times. The bedside areas look like a garage unit just lacking attention to detail whereas the twin room looked as if it had been updated. The lower kitchen cupboards are chaotic with parts for equipment in different cupboards. The cupboard below the sink has no base so all the cleaning products were in the floor- very odd.

We loved our time here - perfect location with easy access to the town centre & very comfortable. If I had to criticise anything it would be that we only had 1 roll of toilet paper & no cloths or tea towels to clean up with but that is being really picky!!I would definitely recommend

I love this cottage. Have just returned from a 5th visit & hoping to rebook for next year. It is a real home from home. The kitchen is well equipped & there is a cozy lounge with good quality furnishings. The beds are very comfy & there is a good, dog friendly garden. The whole place is also perfect for dogs, with vinyl, easy care flooring & a stair gate. There is very easy access to Fitz park, with gorgeous fell views. The bus stop is just a short walk through the park & all the amenities of Keswick, just a ten minute walk away. All in all, a brilliant place to stay. The only downside us having to leave at the end of the week!
