Perched in the popular town of Keswick, Cumbria is this lovely first-floor apartment, Redwood Rise. Benefitting from private parking, close proximity to the local amenities and decorated to a high standard throughout, Redwood Rise welcomes two guests, perfect for a couple looking for a peaceful break within the Lake District National Park. Ascend the stairs to your new, spacious abode, entering to be impressed by a well-equipped kitchen/diner, boasting all the essentials required to ease your self-catered stay. Put your feet up in the sitting room as your other half cooks up a storm, prior to settling down at the dining table to tuck into a feast accompanied by a favourite tipple. As the evening draws to a close, freshen up in the en-suite shower room and climb into a sumptuous super-king-size bed, an idyllic spot to unwind and catch up on your rest ahead of another day of exploring your surroundings. In the morning, embark on a scenic stroll to into Keswick centre, stopping off at the Derwent Pencil Museum, Puzzling Places and Keswick Museum, before sampling some of the local fare in one of a plethora of pubs, cafes and restaurants that can be found close by including The Pheasant Inn, just at the end of the road. Keswick also holds a popular market every Thursday and Saturday throughout the season, perfect for picking up some local produce or a souveneir, or for some entertainment on a weekend, enjoy live games of football or cricket at Fitz Park. If you wish to admire a range of flora and fauna, embark on a stroll around the flower gardens at Hope Park, or try your hand at mini golf for a spot of friendly competition. The tourist hub of the northern Lake District is the well-known town of Keswick, which has a lot to offer travellers at any time of year. The town offers a wide variety of stores and eateries to suit every taste, as well as miniature golf, wonderful parks, the renowned Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing, and fantastic mountain biking opportunities. Derwentwater, a beautiful lake at the head of the breathtaking Borrowdale Valley, is only a short stroll from the town centre. The stunning Newlands Valley is nearby, situated between Braithwaite and Buttermere, and the charming Bassenthwaite Lake is definitely worth a visit. Everything from a leisurely stroll through the countryside to a strenuous walk up Skiddaw or the renowned Catbells is available. Visit the Jennings Brewery, Mirehouse, a magnificent home and gardens on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake, or go on a wonderful boat tour of Derwentwater. Any time of year, this is a great Lakeland destination thanks to the abundance of family-friendly attractions, beautiful parks, and the nearby Lake District Wildlife Park.
