Rose Patch Cottage in Keswick is praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and prime location, ideal for exploring the town and nearby attractions. While most guests found the cottage clean and well-maintained, one review cited significant cleanliness issues. The property is equipped for large groups, though some minor maintenance and additional utensils may enhance the experience.
Reviews on cleanliness are mixed. While some guests found the cottage spotless, one detailed account of unsatisfactory cleanliness significantly impacts the score.
The location is consistently praised for being central, quiet, and convenient for accessing Keswick's amenities and natural beauty.
Guests generally regard the cottage as roomy and comfortable for large groups, though one mention of a bed needing replacement slightly lowers the score.
The cottage is well-equipped for a pleasant stay, but feedback suggests room for improvement in maintenance and provision of some essentials.
There is no mention of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

We absolutely loved our stay at Rose Patch Cottage. The location couldn’t be better – right on the street, yet surprisingly quiet and peaceful. You’d never know you were so close to everything! It’s just a short stroll to the park and the lake, making it ideal for walks and exploring Keswick. There were ten of us staying, and the cottage accommodated us all spaciously and comfortably. There are lots of thoughtful touches throughout – shelves full of books and plenty of games for cosy evenings in.Before arriving, we’d seen a few older reviews mentioning the bathrooms, but we found everything spotless and very well maintained. Clearly, this has been taken care of.Overall, Rose Patch Cottage is a real gem – roomy, comfortable, and in a fantastic location. What a find! We’ll definitely be back.

great space, plenty of room to spread out, beds comfy, well equipped ,more care with cleaning around showers needed and for our group a second door key would have been useful, a great location , would use again.

Extremely disappointed and disgusted with rose Patch Cottage. Very dirty, food remnants in kitchen sink and microwave and fridge. Showers had extensive black mould, toilets stained with urine needing DEEP clean. Sock on bathroom floor. One bed looked like a tramp had slept in it and just left. The list is endless, does not reflect the online pictures. Had to find hotel accommodation after travelling for hours with 2children one of them 4yrs old. Was supposed to be having a family celebration for my 70th birthday, the whole thing ruined. Couldn't offer us alternative cottage so left trying to find somewhere to stay ourselves. Not easy in the lakes in August. The whole experience a nightmare. Never booking with cottages.com again.
