Swallow's Nest in Keswick is a well-regarded cottage, praised for its cleanliness, warm and cosy atmosphere, and stunning Lakeland views. Guests appreciate its convenient location for walking and exploring the Lake District, as well as the friendly and helpful hosts. While some minor suggestions for improvement are noted, such as the addition of a dishwasher and better Wi-Fi, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests planning return visits.
The cottage consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests describing it as clean and well-maintained. Only one mention of stained mugs suggests a slight room for improvement.
The location is highly praised for its fabulous views and accessibility to local amenities and walking paths. Its proximity to Keswick and the rest of the Lakes makes it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Guests find the cottage warm, cosy, and comfortable, with ample space for families. Some guests mention the beds being hard, and one noted the lack of an outdoor terrace, but overall the comfort level is rated highly.
The cottage is well-equipped, with secure bike storage and a well-stocked kitchen, though some guests missed having a dishwasher and better internet. A few comments about the need for a washing machine and tumble dryer, and one about a faulty toilet, suggest some areas for improvement.
