The Croft in Keswick is a well-received cottage, praised for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and additional touches like a hot tub and BBQ. Guests appreciate the property's modern decor, cosy atmosphere, and the surprise welcome gifts. The secure garden and proximity to the lake are highlights, making it ideal for both families and pet owners. While some minor improvements are suggested, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The cottage is consistently described as spotlessly clean, with fresh towels and made beds on arrival. Minor points like a few cobwebs and cracks do not detract from the overall high standards of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its beautiful views and proximity to the lake, offering a sense of privacy and a private beach experience. The short walk to the lake and the outdoor space are particularly appreciated.
The Croft is noted for its comfort, with a modern and homey feel. The spaciousness is a plus, although there are comments about single bed mattresses being slightly uncomfortable and the lack of locks on bathroom doors.
Facilities like the hot tub and BBQ are well-received, and the property is well-maintained. However, there are suggestions for additional amenities such as a full-length mirror and towelled robes, and a note about construction nearby that may affect privacy during the day.
Guests are delighted by thoughtful touches such as a surprise bottle of prosecco and provisions for pets. While these gifts enhance the experience, it's important to note that such gestures, though appreciated, may vary and are not guaranteed.

This means that ALL holiday clients will need to go round the lake if they are arriving for 3pm. Therefore they will need to follow the A66 heading west. At the end of the average speed section you will find a right hand turning for Castle Inn follow signs for Castle Inn.
Go over the bridge at the top of the lake.
At the crossroads with the Castle Inn on your left turn right. Follow the road (passed the garage Skiddaw Service Station (on left ) and after about 300 yards turn right at the crossroads for Scarness.
Follow the road to the T junction and turn right.
The park is approx. 400 yards on your left.
This most probably going to cause mayhem but thought to get the info off to you so that holiday clients are aware.
Please do not charge electric cars at this at your lodge, this is becoming a problem with cables being put through windows etc. The park is not insured for this and it is a fire hazard.

Great place to stay with hot tub and bbq. Not on the main site but just round the corner.

This place is so much more than the photos/descriptions state, it’s so much bigger than it looks! Every detail was covered by the lodge owners to make our stay seamless. Lake is visible from lodge and a little stroll down to it, really pretty.Thank you for a lovely week **

We stayed for 2 nights at The Croft with a dog. The cottage was much bigger than expected. Nicely decorated, modern and homey without being too showy and felt very cosy. The place was spotlessly clean on arrival with all beds made and fresh soft towels provided. (There were a few noticeable cracks in the roof, and some cobwebs visible but to be expected with such a high open vaulted ceiling, but other than that - 10/10.)We were welcomed on arrival to a surprise bottle of prosecco which was a very nice touch. The amount of space was unexpected and it would definitely be a suitable place for a group or large family to feel comfortable and not under foot. Our dog loved running around in the walled garden and had the weather been nicer on our visit we would have definitely made use of the outdoor bbq and dining area. We did however make use of the outdoor hot-tub, again like the cottage itself it was clean and hot on arrival and thankfully was covered by a shelter so despite the rain we were able to enjoy the view and relax in the evening.5minute walk across the field leads down to the lake which felt like our own little private beach which our dog loved. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and have already raved and recommended to friends. We have also been looking at future dates for a return with a longer stay. There were a couple of small things we noted that we felt were missing for us, which include; a large or full length mirror somewhere within the property, and towelled robes for guests -with somewhere to hang them round the hot tub. these are just nit-picky things that we felt were missing but by no means affect our view on our stay. Would highly recommend, and look forward to a future return visit!
