Great house, with everything we needed. Comfortable warm and plenty of room for four adults and the dog. Only very slight markdown being when we moved the coffee table the rug was covered in crumbs, dirt and had not been cleaned. The coffee table itself needed cleaning too. No major deal though. Would definitely book again if we went back to Keswick. Great location, parking easy and only a five minute walk to the town

While we had a lovely week away at Ivy Cottage, we found some of the amenities and facilities provided were not what we would expect from a holiday rental. The washing machine door broke on the first use and we were unable to use it for the rest of our stay. This was such a shame as we had booked this accommodation with use of a washing machine in mind. The electric fire provided in the living room worked for about 20 seconds (blowing out hot air) until the air would become cold. While the kitchen space was adequate for the size of house, the layout and general finish of the cooking facilities were not great. The cooker is very close to the dining table which meant constantly having to move the table to use the cooker. The main oven had clearly not been cleaned very well as every time we used it, it would fill the room with smoke which stung our eyes. The cooker is placed under an old chimney hearth which has been closed off. A beautiful place to put it but there was no extractor fan above. This meant that when you used the cooker top to cook (e.g. boil pasta) the steam would rise and hit the chimney hearth which would then condensate and drip back down onto the cooker top (often straight back into whatever you were cooking). With that being said, the bedrooms were great, comfy beds etc. Bathrooms were clean. Living room was lovely. And a great location.

Great location, short walk to the town centre. On street parking. Unable to park outside the property but able to find a space nearby. Generally clean property, would recommend taking own towels as all the ones supplied had various stains, luckily we had taken some spare one we used. No issues with bed linen though, very clean.
