If you like outdoor adventures such as walking, cycling and climbing, you are surrounded by some amazing scenery and routes around Latrigg, Catbells, Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn to name a few. Situated at on the end of Keswick, you can easily walk into the town centre and leave the car behind. Either just cross over the road and walk through Fitz Park to the town or follow the River Greta, either way, it’s a simple 10-minute stroll into the town centre, ½ mile away.
Keswick is vibrant with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and obligatory outdoor and fashion brands, along with plenty of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards, this traditional market town is one not to be missed. If you like culture, check out the theatre by the lake, 1½ miles, with award-winning arts and drama on the banks of Derwentwater, 1¾ miles, where you can hire a rowing boat.
For family fun just over a mile away, why not try Puzzling Place, a mind-boggling attraction based on optical illusions, or the Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world? Or, for a really wild day out, try The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, or The Lakes Distillery, offering daily tasting and tours, both 8 miles away. Nice big house with a lovely back garden and off road parking close to everything very good location. Only down side is not very clean mucky under the sofas and under the cushions lots of cobwebs windows could of done with a clean inside and out and needed a good dusting . It looks like its just the bedding and towels get changed and a wipe round in bathroom is all that gets done between guests . We even had to clean the grill before we used it .double bed could do with a new mattress u dip in the middle but other than that was a nice stay

Excellent place to stay, clean and well presented with a nice back garden. Only 10 minutes walk to Keswick town centre along the river. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely cottage perfectly situated for a beautiful walk through the park into Keswick. We are long standing visitors to the area and were very impressed by the spacious property and the comfortable beds and sofas. If I could change anything, I’d have loved some extra seats in the garden and some extra pegs as we were lucky enough to have weather good enough to put washing on the line. We hope to be back again 😊
