Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, but several reviews mentioned issues such as greasy oven trays, dusty surfaces, dirty windows, and leftover dog mess in the garden. Some guests felt they left the property cleaner than they found it. Overall, cleanliness is generally good but could benefit from more attention to detail.

Some guests noted the fridge/freezer is small, and a few kitchen items or amenities could be added. Maintenance issues such as lighting, bins, and outdated information folders were occasionally mentioned.
Guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine on arrival and a Christmas tree during festive stays. However, please note that such gifts are not guaranteed. The host was described as informative, and the property generally felt welcoming.

Nice big house with a lovely back garden and off road parking close to everything very good location. Only down side is not very clean mucky under the sofas and under the cushions lots of cobwebs windows could of done with a clean inside and out and needed a good dusting . It looks like its just the bedding and towels get changed and a wipe round in bathroom is all that gets done between guests . We even had to clean the grill before we used it .double bed could do with a new mattress u dip in the middle but other than that was a nice stay

Excellent place to stay, clean and well presented with a nice back garden. Only 10 minutes walk to Keswick town centre along the river. Would definitely stay again.

A lovely cottage perfectly situated for a beautiful walk through the park into Keswick. We are long standing visitors to the area and were very impressed by the spacious property and the comfortable beds and sofas. If I could change anything, I’d have loved some extra seats in the garden and some extra pegs as we were lucky enough to have weather good enough to put washing on the line. We hope to be back again 😊
