This wonderful holiday home is ideally situated just off Main Street in the centre of Keswick, offering local shops, pubs and restaurants all within an easy level walk from the doorstep. Here you are are also conveniently located close by to many of the local tourist attractions, including the ’Theatre by the Lake’ and Derwent Water boat landings, perfect for a day out on the water enjoying the surrounding scenery. Enjoy endless opportunities to discover all that this wonderful area of the Lake District National Park has to offer from the low fells and to the more challenging summits of Skiddaw and Blencatha. Comfortable, well equipped mews cottage, just 5 mins walk from market square in Keswick. Very comfortable living room with great sofa and large tv. Very warm and cosy space. Parking right outside. No outside space or scenic views from cottage. Car parking for flats and cottages to front and rear. Set back from main road into Keswick. Main supernarkets in Keswick within 2 mins to front and back. Good value for money. Would stay again. You can walk everywhere from front door.

Good location for town centre amenities and local walks. A great base with plenty of room for 2 people. The property is a little dated especially the bathroom and kitchen but we found it clean and comfortable for a weeks stay. A bonus to have a designated parking space too, overall good value for money. Some specific instructions on operating the heating, appliances etc would be very helpful.

Having stayed in Walkers Retreat several times and love this little cottage, it is comfortable and very convenient for town shops,walk to the lake and park. Unfortunately the standard of cleanliness this time was felt to have deteriorated somewhat. Cobwebs in the bathroom, and the carpet in the lounge had what could be described as a film of black hair on it - possibly dog hair. The filter on the vacuum cleaner probably needing attention.The light switch on the top of the staircase did not work for the stairs, had to use the botton switch every time.Sheets and towels all clean and fresh.
