Please note: The spindle gaps on the staircase are up to 35cm wide, care maybe needed.. Wickhams View is a spacious first floor apartment which benefits from a newly fitted kitchen in January 2019, spacious living room with vaulted ceiling, two parking spaces and a central location behind the main street of Keswick. The towns amenities are literally on the doorstep, from shops to restaurants, pubs and visitor attractions. Hope park and Derwentwater are each within 5 minutes walk and there are many walks from the property onto the fells surrounding Keswick and along the Borrowdale valley. Guests travelling via public transport will finds its central location and proximity to the bus station a great advantage.

A really lovely apartment, very central to Keswick with a parking space. It’s a little scary to access first time as there is some driving through a pedestrian/ access only route but well worth it. Quality of apartment finish is to a high standard, a great bed and linen, plenty of kitchen utensils and spacious living rooms and even a quality sharing library Some small niggles. Just one loo roll and there were no dishwasher tablets under the sink as described in the manual. We did find some later in a bathroom cabinet which is normally locked. Also this is not a cheap apartment and I was surprised at no welcome hamper. I was ready for a hot drink and had to wait for Mr Tesco to arrive lol. This was the first apartment we have ever stayed in which did not offer this. Would definitely stay again for a short or winter break as there is no outside space and I do like a garden to sit in when the weather is good.

A wonderful home away from home, offering a comfortable space to stay and enjoy the surrounding area. It is well-equipped with everything you might need if you prefer to dine in, and the town is conveniently located right on your doorstep for dining out. Overall, we would definitely consider returning.The only minor challenge we encountered was following the directions to reach the property, as it is situated down a pedestrian-only road. We received mixed messages from passersby indicating that driving that way was not permitted. Including a few photos in the instructions could have been very helpful. Our rental car was a Citroën C3, and navigating the final turns to the property was a bit tight.
