Only thing to mention is that the double power socket close to the double bed was not working, making it difficult to plug in the bedside lamps.

My third visit. I was there during storm Eowyn that brought a tree down on the local road. The power in Thornthwaite went out for 5 hours so we had a candles and wood stove adventure for a while. Snowdrops came out on the hillside. Rabbits joined the local wildlife that visited the garden. Such a peaceful place.

The kitchen could do with an upgrade of utensils, glasses, kettle etc. Itâs a shame there wasnât any wood & kindling just for the first night. I also think during the winter months the check in time should be earlier so itâs light when you arrive. I thinks itâs reasonable to have check in & out the same as a hotel 3pm and 11am.
