Loweswater is nestled between the beautiful North Western Fells, offering relative peace compared with the busier areas of the Lake District. Loweswater lake is a 1 mile long, peaceful lake that is overlooked by many tourists, Crummock Water and Buttermere are also within easy reach.
Enjoy gentle lakeside or woodland strolls or more challenging walks up Melbreak, Whiteside or the mighty Grasmoor. Loweswater is also home to a 400 year old inn which is still serving customers today.

Outstanding location with on the doorstep access to great hiking and a great local pub. The views from the cottage were glorious and it was so peaceful. We slept every night with the bedroom window open and didnât hear a peep. We will be back.
