Head upstairs via an oak staircase to a spacious open plan living room with comfortable furnishings presented beneath traditional oak beams. A beautiful picture window opens onto a Juliet balcony with spectacular views across the local fells. Loweswater lake is a 1 mile long, peaceful lake that is overlooked by many tourists, Crummock Water and Buttermere are also within easy reach.

Enjoy gentle lakeside or woodland strolls or more challenging walks up Melbreak, Whiteside or the mighty Grasmoor. Loweswater is also home to a 400 year old inn which is still serving customers today.

    Outstanding location with on the doorstep access to great hiking and a great local pub. The views from the cottage were glorious and it was so peaceful. We slept every night with the bedroom window open and didn’t hear a peep. We will be back.
