Enter into the rear of the property to find the utility area accompanied by a functional ground floor shower room. This space is ideally positioned for taking off any mucky boots and rambling attire after a day on the mountains. The convenient shower is perfect for washing off any mucky paws.
From here, move into the kitchen/diner, where you can sit at the table with a warming cup of tea in hand as your home-cooked delights simmer on the hob; the kitchen hosts a wide range of appliances for your self-catering requirements, all neatly housed around the sleek white units adding a touch of contemporary to the dwelling. For more formal occasions, the dining room makes a great spot for everyone to gather together and enjoy one another's company, or take the opportunity to take a board game borrowed from the snug. The snug provides an idyllic space to delve into a good book as the evening draws to a close when you're seeking a quiet escape, or choose to unwind in the sitting room in front of the impressive woodburning stove as the television provides your entertainment for the evening.
On the first floor you can find three simple but stylish bedrooms, consisting of two doubles and a twin room, it makes an ideal layout for a variety of group needs. Nearby you can find the highest peak in England; Scafell, as well as Great Gable, Hard Knott, Harter Fell and Muncaster Fell, providing ample walking routes and plenty of adventure, alongside the coastal excitement of Seascale being within easy reach.

Love the location, the cottage and the grounds. Had a very nice week - stayed dry for us which is very rare for the Lakes. Staff at the Saw Mill very helpful and welcoming as always. Cottage clean and tidy. Only issue I have is with the beds in the property (each to their own) - All far to soft for me and probably in need of mattress replacements.

Friendly support from the owners, who provided us with additional logs when requested. The only disappointment was that the Sawmill Cafe, co-located with Irt Cottage closed before New Year and did not open again during our stay, meaning a much longer journey for essentials and treats.
