Spend a beautiful few hours riding the historic Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway (1.5 miles) through lovely Lake District landscapes, or make a beeline to Haverigg (5 miles) to stroll along its sandy shoreline and waterfront trails. Alternatively, head to Eskdale (6 miles) to immerse yourself in rugged countryside and sweeping fell scenery as you follow the walking trails along the River Esk to Stanley Ghyll Force and the Roman fort at Hardknott.
Step inside this traditional cottage and make your way to the delightful lounge. Featuring cosy country-style decor that’s complemented by a wood burner, you can’t help but feel at home. When it’s time to eat, head to the traditional open-plan kitchen/diner to whip up some dinner.
