Iveing Cottage North is in a perfect location in the ever-popular Lake District town of Ambleside. It is the ideal base for anyone want to explore the incredible South Lakes.
This large, unfussy home-from-home boasts wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and is just a short walk from the centre of Ambleside with its lake access, delicious eateries, and wealth of attractions.
The property sleeps up to 15 people (a discount is available if there are 10 people or fewer). An extra two people can make use of a cosy apartment right next door. It is a comfortable and spacious house with period features and was even mentioned by Dorothy Wordsworth (the poet's sister) in her diaries when first built!
Outside is a small courtyard as well as private parking for three cars - a real luxury in Ambleside! - and further on street parking.
Ambleside is incredibly popular thanks to its beauty and wealth of attractions. Sat at the head of England's largest lake, Windermere, there are water sports galore, boating opportunities, and the chance to explore the lake with several relaxing cruises. A 10-minute walk from the property will also bring you to a fantastic park with beaches, picnic benches, and BBQs!
