Part of the highly regarded Falls development close to the lively village of Ambleside, this well presented apartment is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to explore the best of the central Lake District. There are countless activities on the doorstep with Waterhead Pier, Dove Cottage and Lake Windermere just a few of the nearby highlights.
The property comes with private parking for one car directly outside and with additional visitor spaces close by. Steps climb to the first floor entrance where there is a handy cloakroom along with room for walking gear and muddy boots. Through to a spacious open plan sitting room with a separated dining area, patio doors opening out to the lovely viewing balcony as well as super comfy sofas and chairs. This is a very generous and welcoming space with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax in front of the TV. The kitchen is also a good size and superbly well equipped. For guests whose preference is for delicious home cooked meals, there is everything they could possibly need. Cream fitted units, integrated appliances and a lovely wooden floor make this kitchen a joy. Upstairs to the second floor and the three pretty bedrooms. The master room with a luxurious en-suite bathroom, a double, a twin and the house bathroom. Both bathrooms have power showers over P-shaped baths, basin and wc. There will be no queuing in Millbeck Cottage!
Ambleside is perfectly positioned for exploring the rest of the lakes. Grasmere, Hawkshead and Windermere are all just a few miles away and the glorious fells, hills and mountain landscapes are seemingly endless.
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
