Woodgate Cottage is a delightful, traditional, semi-detached cottage which is pleasantly located in the hamlet of Lowick Green, next to a main road so offering easy access to the area. Over recent years the cottage has been sympathetically modernised and upgraded whilst still retaining many original features. Boasting fabulous, far reaching views from many of the windows, which also flood the cottage with natural light, Woodgate Cottage is a stylish, spacious property and offers underfloor heating across the ground floor. Outside the large garden offers plenty of space to enjoy and take in the wonderful views and boasts a mature orchard full of fruit trees.
Lowick Green is a small village on the edge of the Lake District National Park, conveniently located for walkers and lovers of The Lake District alike. Coniston Water is approximately 4 miles north and is only 10 minutes’ drive away, along with many other attractions of the wider area. There is a post office and café in Greenodd, just 3 miles away and the market town of Ulverston, 5 miles away, offers amenities such as a library, railway station, sports facilities, restaurants and shopping.
For families with children, you can enjoy the Lakeland Motor Museum, South Lakes Zoo and the Lakes Aquarium, all nearby. You can also take a ride on the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway or take a boat cruise across Lake Windermere. Driving past Newby Bridge you will find the beautiful priory village of Cartmel, famed for its sticky toffee pudding, racecourse and Michelin starred restaurant. Beach 15 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
