Kentmere Lodge was nice..but with a few minor improvements,.ie bedroom carpets could do with been updated...Chopping board for the kitchen, it could be better. The bed was nice and comfortable and the shower was good too.

The lodge was nice and large and spacious and the kitchen and living area were very comfortable. The bedrooms were both a good size and we were impressed overall. However, the reason for the lower marks above were for the following reasons. We didn’t like where we had to park the car and thought we should have had an actual parking space, rather than just on the track next to the lodge. One of the single beds in the twin room was so bad you could feel the springs in the mattress which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep and the double bed was too soft for our liking but this could be personal preference. We thought some oven gloves would have been useful to have in the lodge as on other sites we have visited, they have provided them. We also didn’t like the location of the lodge with the amount of walkers going past to the play area and dog walking and also the bins for recycling were quite a walk away.

Had a very relaxing time even though we had lots of rain. Lodge was very nice but cleanliness could have been better, ie underneath sofa hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Hob hadn’t been cleaned and top of wardrobe area hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Although cleanliness was a bit of an issue we would stay again to see the lovely views.
