Loughrigg Lodge is a two bedroom lodge situated in the Kirkstone area of Limefitt Park. The lodge is situated in a quiet location with views of the surrounding fells. It is a short distance from the onsite pub which serves delicious meals also. This modern, bright and airy lodge is well equipped and is ideal for families or couples looking for a relaxing break. The outside deck with seating is a great way to spend a summer day or an evening with great food and company! Offering a great base in the heart of the lakes, Loughrigg Lodge is a great option for walking enthusiasts or those simply looking to relax and unwind in a tranquil location.

Your lodge at Limefitt is surrounded by the Troutbeck valley and towering above High Street and the Kirkstone Pass. Wherever you are on the Park, you’ll enjoy nature and woodlands, and the Trout Beck runs through the park, and has some picnic areas, near the children’s playground. From the Park, you can walk through the fields to the fabulous pub The Queens Head, and round the corner to the Mortal Man. If you like log fires, real ales and great food you’ll be happy! Travel four miles to Windermere and an extra mile to Bowness or travelling the other way you can carry up over the spectacular Kirkstone Pass, and there’s another ancient inn: The Kirkstone.

Then drop down and you’ll see Brotherswater – around seven miles from the Park. Continue toward the beautiful Ullswater and the hamlet of Glenridding for more great pubs, shops, Ullswater Steamers and amazing walks. A wonderful location for you and your family.

The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
