The Potting Shed is a well-appointed property hidden away in a pretty location near to Windermere in the Lake District National Park. This romantic retreat has been presented to a wonderful standard with beautiful features throughout, perfect for a couple looking to explore some of the most picturesque locations in England. After a busy day sightseeing or rambling the surrounding fells, look forward to coming back to the cottage and being welcomed into the homely sitting room, where a plush sofa is positioned in front of the TV and woodburning stove which offers a gentle warmth and contributes to the welcoming ambience. Take yourself into the kitchen, home to white units and sloping ceiling windows which let in plenty of light, and whip up tasty meals for you and your partner to enjoy; the property also comes with a handy dishwasher and washing machine for your convenience. From here, climb the stairs to find the king-size and single bedroom both dressed in a neutral décor with attractive fabrics to complete the scene, separated by shower room. When you don’t feel like cooking, you can walk into the centre of Windermere, where you will be spoilt for choice by the selection of cafés, pubs and restaurants that are awaiting, as well as a number of shops to pick up any essentials and gifts for your loved ones back home. Explore the largest lake in England by climbing on board the iconic Windermere steamer, offering a circular cruise with stop offs at Ambleside and Lakeside, perfect for a fun day out. If you would rather explore the area on foot, walking routes in the area are plentiful, with the beautiful School Knott positioned just behind the property, and situated close to Post Knott and Biskey Howe viewpoints, all offering sweeping vistas of the surrounding countryside. Nearby you will find Windermere Golf Club, offering a beautiful course along with a bar and restaurant. Also close by is the AA 5 star restaurant Gilpin Spice. Bowness and Windermere, which are practically twins, are two of the most lively and entertaining places in the Lake District. Ambleside, with its boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium, and Beatrix Potter's "Hill Top House" at Sawrey, offers even more attractions than the other town, but both offer a wide variety of services, shops, and restaurants to suit any taste. Nearby Grizedale Forest Park offers a variety of outdoor pursuits, including great walking trails, mountain biking, and the popular "Go Ape!" canopy tour. There are many National Trust properties in the area, and thrill-seekers will appreciate the many water sports available. Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains are all easily accessible, and children will love a visit to the "World of Beatrix Potter" in Bowness.
