Woodmere is a welcoming lodge at White Cross Bay, in a quieter area backing onto woodland sleeping four people in two bedrooms, its a perfect base from which to start your lake district adventures, and with its outdoor gated deck and hot tub, you can eat al fresco, enjoy the bubbles and just chill out! The lake itself and attractive marina is just a short stroll away, as is the clubhouse and all amenities. Woodmere is a great base from which to explore the local area. White Cross Bay is in a fabulous location, on the shores of Lake Windermere. With views across the water and to the surrounding fells, you are literally in the heart of the Lake District.
Note: Some facilities on the park are subject to extra cost such as use of the pool, gym, entertainment, bar and restaurant. 500 yards up the main A591 is Brockhole Lake District Visitor Centre, with its gardens, house, café, restaurant, walks, boats, adventure playground and Tree Top Trek: there’s lots to do! You’re also just two miles from Windermere village with shops, cafes and pubs, and three miles from Bowness boat landings, where the cruisers come in. Bowness is a cosmopolitan village with award-winning restaurants and pubs and quirky shops, a cinema and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction. Three miles in the other direction, head to Ambleside, another bustling town with shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and of course, walks in every direction.
Two miles north on the A592 is the pretty village of Troutbeck, home to two traditional pubs with log fires: The Queens Head and the Mortal man; Holehird Gardens, and the National Trust’s Townend House. Further on you climb up to the magnificent Kirkstone Pass, then drop down to Brotherswater & Ullswater. A wonderful Lake District break to give you and your loved ones lifelong memories..
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
Two Bedrooms: 1 x double with ensuite shower room with corner shower, basin and WC, 1 x twin.
The travel cot will fit in the master bedroom only and will be left in the lodge for you to put up.
Please bring your own bedding for the travel cot.
Family bathroom with over bath shower, WC and basin, enclosed spacious private deck and hot tub.
A slab will be provided for BBQ but please bring your own disposable BBQ and dispose of responsibly.
Woodmere is accessed by four steps and is then all on one level.

Gas hob and oven, fridge/freezer, microwave,feature electric fire, TV, DVD player, outdoor patio furniture.
Hot Tub - please note, use of hot tub is between 10am and 10pm only.
Fuel and power included in rent.
Bed linen and towels incl in rent (please bring own beach towels).
Parking for two cars.
