Half a mile away, Greystoke village is home to a small shop, friendly pub and heated open-air swimming pool; there are more shops in Penrith (5 miles) and Keswick (13 miles). Beyond both towns, the Lakeland landscape is a paradise for walkers and wildlife lovers. Enjoy a cruise along Ullswater (6.5 miles), tackle Helvellyn’s thrilling Striding Edge from Glenridding (11 miles), or wind your way through woodland to the awe-inspiring Aira Force near Watermillock (6.5 miles). Lowther Castle (10.5 miles) is a favourite for family days out thanks to its dramatic ruins, gardens and adventure playground.

Park and pause to admire the far-reaching views as you head towards the striking stone building. Step through a shared main entrance, ascend a flight of steps, and the front door to your private abode is on the right.
