Always in December Xmas week as well! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in such a lovely, well-appointed, clean, cosy, warm, comfortable location. Feels very home-from-home when we walked in initially and every day having been out an about.Everything is always so lovely here and we always enjoy visiting. A special thank you to the owners who were extremely accomodating to a request we made mid-stay enabling us to extend our trip. Very much appreciated. Will definately return and will strongly recommend Walkers Retreat as a great place to stay

All amenities were available, in good working order, and clean. We found this to be a convenient base. The credit at Rattle Ghyll is a nice touch. On the negative side, parking is a problem for an SUV.

Just right. It sleeps three but it's a tight squeeze trying to eat at the table and even sit comfortably on the only sofa. It would be ideal for two people. Parking could be a problem if the other flats have people staying with big cars, which they all seemed to have. Would definitely return.
