Guests appreciate the comfortable furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, and the added bonus of parking. While some guests mention noise from a nearby pub and minor maintenance issues, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Parking is a real bonus. The flat is up some stairs which might be an issue for some. It is really tastefully done, with relatively recent bathroom and kitchen overhauls. Kitchen is great for self-caterers - loads of decent cooking kit. Lounge is really comfortable (as with others, never got to grips with the TV and BT box that we had no idea how to work - not an issue for us as we don't come to the Lakes to stare at a TV, but this might be an issue for some). Positives - location is excellent - right in the middle of Ambleside - great for accessing amenities etc and loads of activities from the door. Parking is a bonus (scaffolding has now been removed). Spacious accommodation. Two decent sized bathrooms. Really comfortable beds. The finishing is quality. Negatives - location is right in the middle of Ambleside - this won't suit everyone. This is not (nor does it claim to be) an isolated countryside retreat.

More lighting on the access stairs would be welcome, as would double glazing in the living room to stop the heat leaking out in winter. Also had to figure out the heating controller as we couldn't find instructions for it.

). Rubbish and recycling arrangements not clear and half a dozen bins blocking the access to the stairs. We couldn’t work out how to work the TV (but that might be us!).
