Lovely lodge in a beautiful area. Very quiet. Loads of great walk from the door and so many classics only a short ride away. The weather was far from kind but the covered veranda was excellent for drying our furry companions. An excellent stay despite the weather.

Excellent location for exploring the area. Lodge was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It’s located on a quiet woodland site and we enjoyed using the small indoor swimming pool and sauna (take some £1 coins for the sauna). There are some lovely walks you can take from the site and it’s just a short walk to the local pub.

A lovely warm, modern, clean lodge, in beautiful surroundings. Enough crockery, cutlery etc for eight people, the hoover was under the bed in the twin bedroom & the bathroom is more than big enough to get dressed in😂. Easy access to plenty of other Lake District tourist spots. Chester’s Cafe is definitely worth a visit! Our first visit, but won’t be our last.
