Ghyll View in Ambleside offers a well-located and comfortable stay with spacious rooms and good facilities. Guests appreciate the property's proximity to local attractions and the town, as well as the cosy and warm atmosphere. Some concerns over cleanliness and maintenance are noted, but overall experiences are positive, with many guests willing to return.
Cleanliness scores are mixed, with several guests noting issues such as dust, cobwebs, and uncleaned areas upon arrival. However, others found the property clean and tidy. The inconsistency leads to a slightly above-average score.
The location is highly praised for its convenience to Ambleside and local facilities, with guests appreciating the ability to walk into town and the proximity to walking trails. The steep walk back is noted but does not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with guests finding the property warm, cosy, and well-furnished. Some minor issues with shower pressure and noise from other apartments are mentioned, but these do not seem to greatly impact the overall comfort.
Facilities are deemed adequate, with a well-equipped kitchen and good entertainment options. However, maintenance issues such as problematic showers, missing items, and parking challenges are recurring themes that affect the score.
