Before you even step over the threshold you have to pause for a moment to take in the stunning backdrop of the surrounding fells. This traditional stone cottage is full of character and features, with beamed ceilings and panelled walls, and is beautifully decorated. Outside there is a charming garden with seating area. The Coach House adjoins another similar property and comes with its own parking, so you can leave the car and explore one of the many walks that are available right from your doorstep. Just a few moments away is the popular village of Grasmere with everything from tea shops to fine dining, and of course the famous ‘Grasmere Ginger Bread’, or if you prefer, stay in and relax round the wood burner in the comfortable living room. Either way, you will be refreshed and ready for the next day’s adventure. Leave the car behind and head off with plentiful walks and fells right on the doorstep, yet just a few moments away is the popular village of Grasmere with everything from tea shops to fine dining, and of course the famous ‘Grasmere Ginger Bread’. Shop and pub 500 yards, restaurant 200 yards.

Loved the Christmas tree, wooden Rudolph and Snowman. My wife is a keen knitter so really appreciated all the references to sheep in the photos and sculptures. We were welcomed by an amazing asortment of goodies including a blanket for the dog. Will definitely revisit again. Thank you for all you did in making our stay a memorable experience.
