This second floor apartment commands magnificent views over Wansfell and towards Helvellyn. Situated within a small development called Oaklands, close to the centre of Ambleside, within a short stroll from the many shops, restaurants, pubs and local attractions together with the wide variety of excellent walks. In all an extremely comfortable apartment, appointed to a high standard and in a central location, from which to explore the delights of the Lake District National Park.

FURNITURE IS VERY OLD AND SHABBY. SOFAS ARE TOTALLY WORN OUT. MAINLY CLEAN BUT OLD FASHIONED DECOR. SHOWER CUBICLE WAS OLD AND WORN. RANDOM CROCKERY. PARKING SPACE WAS USEFUL. CLEAN COMMUNAL AREAS. 6 OUT OF 10 APARTMENTS ARE HOLIDAY LETS BUT NO KEYBOX AT THE PROPERTY-YOU COLLECT FROM WINDERMERE 5 MILES AWAY WHICH IS INCONVENIENT.

Fabulous location near the centre of Ambleside. Clean and well maintained. Would definitely stay there again but don't trust Google maps to locate the property as it shows the wrong property. Also, the property uses a Yale lock so make sure you have the keys with you before you shut the door.

The location, accommodation, equipment, comfort and parking were all of a good standard. Only a short walk into the town and very manageable drives through beautiful countryside to Windermere, Hawkshead, Grasmere and Penrith. As National Trust and Historic Houses members we were delighted to visit many wonderful properties including the cottages of William and Dorothy Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter.We have never visited the Lakes area before and we were delighted with our experience.
