Park View is a delightful cottage that is quite literally a stone's throw from the heart of Ambleside centre and, hence the name, it stands beside Rothay Park with great views over the church towards Loughrigg Fell. The property was fully refurbished in summer 2014.

Enjoying the very best of both worlds this cottage is located in a peaceful spot, but is just a minute's stroll from the village amenities and attractions.

There’s accomodation for two couples or a small family, with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the two stylish bedrooms, one with a separate dressing room, the other with its own lounging space and each of the bedrooms have a bathroom facility. Cosy up by the wood burning stove on chilly nights or after a day on the fells. For warm, sunny days there’s a patio but heading into ever popular Ambleside, with excellent restaurants may prove to be too much of a temptation.

The property comes with a parking permit so you can park on the lane outside and nearby. There’s a pretty entrance to this lovely cottage, complete with honeysuckle round the door, leading into the porch with slate floor that is great for walking clobber. A hallway leads you into a cosy lounge with plush furnishings and a warming wood burner. The kitchen / dining room is very well appointed and there’s a separate utility / boot room with a stable door that leads out to the patio / garden complete with garden furniture - this sunny spot is ideal for al-fresco living on warm days.

Upstairs you’ll find the first floor double bedroom with stunning views towards Loughrigg and a second lounge / TV room with Smart TV, this room has its own shower room. Upstairs again to the second floor where the views get even better and a second double bedroom with a separate dressing room, its own bathroom with shower attachment and bath.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
