Puddleduck is a bright and welcoming ground-floor apartment, situated on the pretty Neaum Crag Estate, near Skelwith Bridge, which is approximately four miles from the excitement of Ambleside. It is set within eighteen acres of enchanting woodland where red squirrels and deer can be seen, and is at the heart of some of the Lake District's finest walks, making it the perfect choice for a family or two couples seeking a scenic escape. Step into a lovely, open style living, dining and kitchen area, where your eyes will be drawn to the large, attractive glass patio doors with pleasant woodland views. Relax on the snug sofa and enjoy the natural light flooding into this dual aspect space, or venture into the neat, fitted kitchen and imagine tasty family meals you can enjoy in this welcoming dining area. Discover a delightful double bedroom across the way, hosting all the essentials for a week-long stay including ample storage space amidst a contemporary interior, and from here, step onto the patio where you can indulge in an early morning coffee or alfresco breakfasts on this enchanting space. The second bedroom is made up of a cheery twin, while both bedrooms are served by the sparkling family bathroom where you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a day of adventure. The all-ground-floor apartment is a welcoming base all-year-round, and is well-equipped with lots of personal touches, games, maps and guidebooks for you to make the most of on your stay. Choose one of the many spectacular walks that are available right from your doorstep to experience some of the most spectacular and idyllic walks in the Lake District. Tour the area by car or by bus, passing by sparkling lakes and driving through dramatic valleys, as you discover the National Park’s towns and villages, each with its own unique character. Take a downhill walk to the small hamlet of Skelwith Bridge and enjoy a drink by the river at the well-loved vegetarian café and gallery, Chesters; from here, take the riverside walk past the waterfall at Stock Ghyll and across open meadows to the pretty village of Elterwater. You are perfectly placed to experience some of the most spectacular and idyllic trails in the Lake District, or for a fun-filled day out in close reach of your accommodation, be sure to visit the on-site clubhouse, available March to mid November (Open from 1st March 2022), it offers guests table tennis and recreational area, providing fun for all of the family. At the end of your days of exploration, sit on your patio in this tranquil setting as you recall your memorable day together, with Puddleduck making a marvellous base at any time of the year.
Chapel Stile is a welcoming village sitting at the centre of the stunning Lake District National Park in Cumbria. The village benefits from a shop, pub, café and a church, providing all you could need for a self-catered stay. Visit Elterwater's Skelwith Bridge where you can soak in the beauty of the surrounding area, with ample walking and cycling routes to discover too. In reach of Ambleside, Windermere and Kendal too, there's so much to discover around Chapel Stile.
