Tabithas is a fantastic cottage located in the most iconic of Lake District valleys, surrounded by mountains and stunning views with so much to do right on your doorstep.
This fantastic cottage, located in the most iconic of Lake District valleys with hundreds of walks, climbs and plenty of rivers to explore all on the doorstep, is ideal for a small family, two couples or friends. The property is on the outskirts of the village of Chapel Stile with a shop and pub under half a mile away. Just a little further down the road is Elterwater, which is about a mile away with more cafes and restaurants. Grasmere town, just past Grasmere lake, is under 4 miles from this cottage, where there too is more pubs and restaurants.
On entering the cottage, guests are met by the cosy living area, boasting a beautiful, original slate floor. The room’s welcoming wood burner helps guests to snuggle up on the comfortable seating and watch the mesmerising flames to relax. The bathroom is located downstairs with a full-size bath and overhead shower. The kitchen/dining room is spacious, bright and fully equipped with everything guests could possibly need for their stay. Upstairs are two bedrooms. One is a double, set at the front of the house, and it has fantastic vistas of the valley and the added bonus of an en-suite toilet. The second bedroom is a twin room with plenty of storage and views of the fells that the cottage is nestled into.
Outside, there is a shared lawned area that is a real suntrap – the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a day’s exploring.

This is our 4th stay at Tabitha’s Cottage and we’ll definitely be again soon. Waking up in the morning with the stunning view of Lingmoor is priceless and energy for the soul! The living room is cozy and comfortable. If you’re looking for walks with a well earned pint at the end it really is the best starting point!! Thank you for having us, see you soon, Mrs P x

Lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Perfect for walks and good local amenities with only a small drive to larger towns. Comfortable seating in lounge area and comfortable beds too. Ideal for 2 (plus dog). Plenty of hot water and very cosy. Open fire looked very inviting although heaters were more than adequate. Bonus off road parking spot for 1 car. Already looking for next year. Excellent weeks holiday.
