Courtyard with garden furniture. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Bogle Barn has been lovingly renovated to a very good standard by the owners. The quirky open-plan space offers a very social holiday home for you to enjoy quality time together. As you enter through the front door there is a great area to hang up your walking gear and boots! The large living room has a wood burner to enjoy on those winter nights whilst the fully equipped kitchen/diner occupies a space on the first floor. Both bedrooms have an en-suite shower room, and there is a lovely front courtyard to enjoy the views on a summer’s day!
Satterthwaite is an ideal location for those energetic guests who enjoying walking, cycling and generally ’the great outdoors’. The village also offers a fantastic local pub. Just 1 mile down the road and you find yourself in Grizedale, with a wide variety of woodland paths to amble along, numerous cycle lanes to enjoy and ’Go Ape’ for the more energetic among you, there is plenty to do in this area!
Close by are the wonderful villages of Hawkshead, where you’ll find a good selection of traditional shops and local pubs, and Coniston, which lies beside Coniston Water, the third largest of the lakes in the Lake District. The famous fell of Coniston Old Man towers above the village and is frequently climbed from the village via Church Beck and the copper mines. Bogle Barn offers a fabulous holiday home for those wanting to experience the quieter, more rural retreat.

Our second stay. Perfect cottage for a quiet getaway. Really clean and comfortable. Fantastic nights sleep as so quiet and peaceful. The neighbours are really friendly and helpful should you need them. Great walks direct from the cottage. We only moved the car once to go and get shopping from Ulverston. The forest has great tracks, paths and bridleways and lots of places to explore. Thank you for a lovely time x

Fantastic Barn conversion , photos online really don't do it justice , well done to the owners on a job well done .Everything within the barn has been thought of from needs met in kitchen ,living room etc , the enclosure area was fabulous and a good little sun trap .With only the local pub near , its best to take drink, food etc with u as you'll have to travel at least half hour or more to get essentials .We would definetely book Bogle barn again

The only real criticism we have was that there was no garden furniture to sit on in the small suntrap of a garden.The cottage could have a more thorough dusting. The curtain poles had a layer of dust on them.
