Perched in the popular destination of Windermere, Cumbria, is this fantastic three-storey Victorian mid-terrace town house, 2 Alexandra Road. Enjoying a superb and peaceful location within the Lake District National Park and just paces away from the famous Lake Windermere, 2 Alexandra Road is a fabulous choice for a group or family of six. Free on-street parking will greet you on arrival, where you can unload your bags with ease before stepping into your new holiday home. Look forward to whipping up culinary delights in the well-equipped and contemporary kitchen/diner, featuring a large island, granite worktops and all the integrated appliances you could need, ready to enjoy at the dining table for six over a celebratory bottle of fizz. On warmer evening’s why not take advantage and dine alfresco out on your private patio? As the evening draws in, head through to the sitting room where you can snuggle up on the large corner sofa and select a much-loved film on the Smart TV as the evening’s entertainment. Climb the stairs up to the first floor, where you will find a high-quality bathroom, featuring a beautiful freestanding bath for those indulgent soaks, as well as a walk-in shower for refreshing rinses. On this floor, you will also find a well-appointed a children’s bunk room. Continue up to the second floor where another bedroom awaits, a light and bright king-size with fabulous rooftop views out towards the hills. From your doorstep, you can appreciate all the Lake District has to offer, whether it’s soaking up the views from the viewpoints of Orrest Head and Queen Adelaide’s Hill, exploring the Windermere Jetty Museum and The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, trying your hand at a wealth of watersports on Lake Windermere, including paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing, or wandering through the treetops at Treetop Trek. Continue onto Ambleside, well-known for being a foodie haven with its six Michelin Star restaurants, as well as it’s attractions of the Armitt Library & Museum Centre, the 2nd-century Ambleside Roman Fort, and the picturesque Stock Ghyll Force. Next stop is Grasmere, where you can trek through the Rydal Cave or tour the former home of the great poet, William Wordsworth. A number of National Trust properties and water sports are also available to thrill-seekers in the area. A visit to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness will delight children, while the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick, and the Lakeland Mountains are all easily accessible.
