Gerand is a well-regarded cottage praised for its immaculate condition, comfortable amenities, and peaceful location. Guests appreciate its proximity to central and southern Lakes, making it ideal for walks and cycling. While some minor issues were reported, the overall sentiment is positive, with many guests returning and recommending the property.
Cleanliness scores are mixed, with several guests finding the property well-kept and clean, while others reported issues with dirt and cobwebs. The negative experiences seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, hence the above-average score.
The location is highly praised for being peaceful, convenient for exploring the Lakes, and offering beautiful views. Its proximity to towns like Windermere and Ambleside is frequently mentioned as a positive aspect.
Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with several positive remarks about the cosy atmosphere and warmth. However, some guests mentioned issues with bedding and a noisy radiator, slightly lowering the score.
Facilities are well-received, with the property described as well-equipped and spacious. Some maintenance issues like lighting, wasp nests, and a lack of storage keys were noted, which affects the score.
