The cottage is tucked away behind the shops so away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, yet within walking distance of this small town. The location is perfect, with a variety of shops, restaurants and outdoor pursuits nearby. Walking in this area is excellent, whether you opt for a gentle lakeside stroll or a vigorous hike up the fells. For breathtaking, panoramic views of the lake and mountains, take the short trek up to Orrest Head. Also available close by is cycling, horse riding, golf, fishing, gorge scrambling, a cinema and the Beatrix Potter Exhibition. Bowness, Coniston Water, Kendal, the Furness Peninsula, Morecambe Bay and the Lakeland Mountains are within easy reach. We loved our break away in this lovey little house. The pictures dont do it justice. It's much bigger than we thought i was going to be. Right in the centre of Windermere. Shops right on your door step. But down a very quiet little street. Parking is tight. A very tight road and spaces but it's right in front of the cottage. Could of done with an extra hoover but apart from that very clean. All In all brilliant. Highly recommend

Perfect stay, exactly as described, plenty of space, very clean, perfect location - parking however is very tight even in a semi small car - didnt spoil our stay though!
