The sitting area provides a pleasant place to settle with a favourite film on the Smart TV, while the electric fire adds warmth and atmosphere on cooler evenings. When the day draws to a close, two thoughtfully arranged bedrooms await. The king-size room benefits from its own Smart TV and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower over, offering flexibility for morning routines, while a contemporary shower room serves the double bedroom with a walk-in shower. Outside, the enclosed decking invites guests to dine alfresco, enjoy the surrounding scenery, or sink into the bubbling hot tub after a day exploring the landscape of Cumbria.
The lodge is well positioned for discovering some of the Lake District's most celebrated destinations. Bowness-on-Windermere offers boat trips across Lake Windermere, The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, and lakefront walks. Nearby Ambleside is home to Stock Ghyll Force, Armitt Library and Museum Centre, and scenic routes leading into the fells. Venture to Keswick to explore Derwent Pencil Museum, Theatre by the Lake, and Derwentwater's picturesque shores. From waterside strolls to mountain vistas and family attractions, there is plenty to fill every itinerary from Bella's Retreat.
The small village of Troutbeck Bridge lies between the famous towns of Windermere and Ambleside, close to the renowned Kirkstone Pass, within the Lake District National Park. Made up of a scattering of Lakeland cottages, this quiet village offers a thriving and very popular local pub, serving real ales and fine food. Why not leave the car at home, with great connections, you can catch the bus here which regularly runs from the train station all the way up to Keswick via Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere. Explore Brockhole Visitor Centre with tree-top adventures and childrens play park which is close by - boats to Ambleside and Bowness call in here along with some Lake Cruises in season. There are also some charming walks and bridleways to explore directly from here up into the beautiful Troutbeck Valley and across to Wansfell, as well as the gardens at Holehird, which are run entirely by volunteers and are an enchanting and inspiring place to explore. The bustling towns of Windermere and Ambleside are close by, providing a range of amenities including shops, pubs and cafes. Lake Windermere boasts a range of lakeside activities, including trips to the famous Aquarium and the renowned Grizedale Forest Park, whilst children will enjoy the World of Beatrix Potter in nearby Bowness, where technology brings her characters to life. With destinations such as Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains all within easy reach, Troutbeck Bridge is an ideal location for exploring all that the region has to offer.
