Burrow Cottage in Bowness-On-Windermere is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its cleanliness, cosy charm, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate its tasteful decor, comfortable bedding, and the romantic atmosphere, making it ideal for couples. While some mention minor issues with comfort and road noise, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, with remarks on its well-maintained state and immaculate presentation. One minor mention of dust on lampshades suggests room for improvement, but overall, the high standards are evident.
The cottage's location is generally praised for its proximity to local attractions and the town. However, some guests note the presence of road noise and lack of direct lake access, slightly diminishing the location's appeal.
Comfort is highlighted by the presence of a comfortable bed and cosy sitting area. Some guests found the sofas less comfortable and mentioned issues with heating, suggesting variability in comfort experiences.
Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-stocked kitchen and the inclusion of a log fire. However, some guests experienced difficulties with heating and the fireplace, and there were comments about the garden's size and maintenance, indicating some areas for improvement.

It's only a short drive away at Bowland Bridge.Only a few miles from Bowness Bay on the eastern shores of Lake Windermere, Burrow Cottage is close by the main lake shore road A592, which runs the full length of Lake Windermere from Newby Bridge and Lakeside, to Bowness and north to Ambleside - a journey you can also take on a Lake Windermere Cruise. For shopping, dining and evenings out, Bowness is your first call. You'll find plenty of fantastic Lakeland pubs (where yacht owners and boat-enthusiasts recap their days!) a range of excellent restaurants and several lively bars.
