Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Yew - Woodland Cottages for its cleanliness, serene location, and comfort. The added luxury of a hot tub and the property's proximity to Bowness-on-Windermere enhance the experience. While there are minor mentions of maintenance issues and noise, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests looking forward to returning.

Reviews frequently highlight the exceptional cleanliness of the cottage, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and well-maintained. The attention to detail in this regard contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.

The property's location is frequently commended for its tranquillity and convenience, being a short drive from Bowness and offering easy access to local attractions. The natural surroundings and wildlife add to the charm, although some guests noted the walk into town was not as straightforward as expected.

Comfort is a strong point for this property, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the cottage spacious. However, there were isolated comments about bed configurations and a few guests mentioned uncomfortable beds, slightly impacting the score.

The facilities, including the hot tub, are generally praised, though there are some concerns about maintenance issues such as the heating system and a smell in the bathrooms. The well-equipped kitchen and additional amenities like Wi-Fi are appreciated, but some guests experienced minor inconveniences with utilities.

While guests have expressed gratitude for the welcome gifts and the thoughtful touches like local treats, there are not enough reviews that consistently mention such gestures to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Spotlessly clean and everything you want is provided. The hot tub is a great bonus and we would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

All the things that you would need for a stay and kitchen was well stocked. Some nice local treats left out, which was a nice touch. Hot tub was fab and needed no setting up. Children loved seeing the ducks and partridges roaming around and there are nice walks nearby and a hotel with the most amazing views for an evening cocktail just 2 minutes walk away. The only thing I would comment on is the size of the fridge. It is really small and only has one freezer top compartment. We found it hard to fall the bits we needed for a group of 7 in at one time for 3 nights, not a problem but if you are staying for longer bare that in mind and do mini shops.

Property manager was amazing - checks jacuzzi every day, and have excellent advice on places to visit and walks.
