This summary has been generated using feedback from guests who have stayed at this property

Guests have had a delightful experience at Maple - Woodland Cottages, praising its spaciousness, cleanliness, and the hot tub as a highlight. The peaceful location and proximity to Bowness are appreciated, though some noted the walk back is uphill. The property is well-equipped for large groups, with thoughtful touches like local treats enhancing the stay.

Cleanliness

The property is consistently described as clean, with one mention of spotlessness and faultless cleanliness. However, a single review mentioned a need for a more thorough cleaning, citing dead insects and cobwebs, which slightly impacts the score.

Location

The location is generally praised for its tranquillity and proximity to Bowness and Lake Windermere. Some guests mentioned a pleasant walk to the town, while others noted the convenience of taxis for the return trip uphill. The scenic surroundings contribute positively to the experience.

Comfort

Comfort is highlighted with the cottage being described as spacious and well-furnished. The presence of a hot tub adds to the comfort level. However, a few guests mentioned small en suite facilities and a lack of cooking utensils for large groups, which slightly lowers the score.

Facilities

Facilities are generally well-received, with special mentions of the hot tub and well-equipped kitchen. However, there are comments about the need for more ovens and better cooking facilities for large groups, as well as minor maintenance issues like squeaky doors and a lack of recycling bins.

Thoughtfulness

Guests have noted thoughtful gestures such as local treats on arrival, which add a personal touch to their stay. While these gifts are warmly received, it's important to note that such extras, while delightful, may not be guaranteed for every stay.
