Comfort and thoughtful touches, such as underfloor heating and electric blinds, contribute to a home-from-home experience, although some minor maintenance issues were noted.
Reviews frequently highlight the lodge's cleanliness, with many guests describing it as spotless and well-maintained. The fresh smell and attention to detail in cleaning are often mentioned, indicating a high standard of cleanliness.
The lodge's location is highly praised for its picturesque setting and tranquillity, as well as its proximity to Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, and other attractions. The scenic views and accessibility to walks and nature contribute to its high rating.
Guests find the lodge very comfortable, with special mentions of the quality of sleep, powerful showers, and cosy atmosphere. However, some guests noted issues with bed size and a slight odour in one of the rooms, slightly affecting the comfort score.
The lodge's facilities, including the hot tub, underfloor heating, and well-equipped kitchen, are frequently commended. However, some reviews mention minor maintenance issues such as a non-working DVD player and a need for more glassware, leading to a slightly lower score.

The lodge is stylishly presented, with two cream leather sofas, wooden coffee table, wall mounted large TV & DVD player and laminate flooring throughout. Doors from the master bedroom open out to the sunken hot tub and large decking area, which also has outdoor seating and chair and tables: plenty of space to relax. You can walk to two local traditional pubs through the fields, and up onto the fells behind the Park toward the High Street range.
