They are set in quiet and attractive surroundings yet within less than a minutes’ walk from all that bustling Bowness has to offer. All the apartments accommodate 2 guests and make an ideal choice for couples wanting a romantic break. The apartments are ideal for self-catering although with so many attractions, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, you’ll be far too busy enjoying yourselves to bother cooking! With dedicated parking, you can leave your car at the property and explore the area without having to worry about traffic and parking charges.
The Stable Loft is a delightful apartment on the first floor of a former stable. Accessed by a spiral staircase, the apartment is carefully furnished and presented to make the most of the character with high loft ceilings and an open plan layout.
A wealth of independent shops, boutiques, cafés and superb international cuisine restaurants are all found within a short stroll along with the attraction of Lake Windermere itself. For the more energetic visitor, rowing boats are available on the lake, or you can enjoy a leisurely steamer ride on the lake to see the stunning landscape. Why not wander up to Windermere town where there is a choice of shops and eateries, as well as a traditional cinema and The World of Beatrix Potter attraction? There are regular boat trips over to Ambleside and Lakeside, the latter of which is home to the Lakes Aquarium. From here you can also take a steam train along the Lakeside-Haverthwaite railway. The bus and railway stations give scope to travel further afield and explore the wider area. Walkers can enjoy access to a variety of walks from Bowness. Take a gentle stroll to the lake, or a more strenuous hike to the peaceful valley of Kentmere, the landscape and surroundings are second to none. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

The location of the apartment was fantastic. Just a stones throw from shops, bars and restaurants. Les than a 10 minute walk from Lake Windermere... if you struggle with walking or walking far, you would want to look at getting taxi's though, as the apartment is at the top of a hill. All that being said, we were disappointed when we first arrived, as there were hairs all over the bathroom, it didn't look as though a cleaner had even been in there. If they had, you would have hoped they would have spotted the little black curly hair on the handwash dispenser!! Vile. Then we went to get into bed, and the sheets where stained, I think they were 'clean', or should I say washed, but if sheets are stained, chuck them away! In fact all the bedding looked like it could do with a refresh. Once we flagged the isues, the hosts sent a cleaner out ASAP, to change the sheets and clean the bathroom, but when we got back there was a hair by the toilet roll holder still! Not good enough.

Had another comfortable stay at the stables loft. A few improvements made since we last stayed. Overall it is a good apartment in a prime location and is good value for money. Added bonus a small car parking space.
