They are set in quiet and attractive surroundings yet within less than a minutes’ walk from all that bustling Bowness has to offer. All the apartments accommodate 2 guests and make an ideal choice for couples wanting a romantic break. The apartments are ideal for self-catering although with so many attractions, pubs and restaurants on your doorstep, you’ll be far too busy enjoying yourselves to bother cooking! With dedicated parking, you can leave your car at the property and explore the area without having to worry about traffic and parking charges.
The Stable Loft is a delightful apartment on the first floor of a former stable. Accessed by a spiral staircase, the apartment is carefully furnished and presented to make the most of the character with high loft ceilings and an open plan layout.
A wealth of independent shops, boutiques, cafés and superb international cuisine restaurants are all found within a short stroll along with the attraction of Lake Windermere itself. For the more energetic visitor, rowing boats are available on the lake, or you can enjoy a leisurely steamer ride on the lake to see the stunning landscape. Why not wander up to Windermere town where there is a choice of shops and eateries, as well as a traditional cinema and The World of Beatrix Potter attraction? There are regular boat trips over to Ambleside and Lakeside, the latter of which is home to the Lakes Aquarium. From here you can also take a steam train along the Lakeside-Haverthwaite railway. The bus and railway stations give scope to travel further afield and explore the wider area. Walkers can enjoy access to a variety of walks from Bowness. Take a gentle stroll to the lake, or a more strenuous hike to the peaceful valley of Kentmere, the landscape and surroundings are second to none. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Have stayed in both The Loft & Round Window. Great to have dedicated parking being so close to Bowness.I have marked Cleanliness down because when using the kitchen bin the first time, the bin had not been emptied by the previous guest nor had it been checked by the cleaner. Also the towels were past the best - of the 4 towels provided, only one was for The Loft. Definitely need towels to be replaced, please.The Loft is comfortable & quiet, however, on this occasion it was very gloomy due to the scaffolding/ roofing work being carried out. It would have been appreciated if we had been advised of this before our stay.Whilst the microwave was different to the one previously, it would have been helpful if there had been the instructions for use.Would like to stay again but would hope that deficiencies are attended to.

Lovely place to stay. Great location. The only negative was that the bathroom wasnt very clean with hair in the bath, dirt in the sink and dust/ dirt in places. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
