The Stable View is located in the heart of the beautiful Bowness on Windermere which has a superb selection of shops, restaurants and bars. This ground floor apartment is within a stone built house and offers guests a great level of comfort throughout. There is a living area with patio doors that lead to a private balcony which offers superb views, the kitchen is well-equipped and is open plan with a dining area, there is a double bedroom and a bathroom. This is a perfect location to explore this stunning location within the heart of the Lake District, and the Beatrix Potter Museum is just a short stroll away, or why not jump on a Windermere steamer boat a have a tour of the lake, then a wander through the streets of the beautiful town of Windermere. Shops 1 mile, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

This is a lovely place. We had the issue that it hadn't been serviced from the previous people staying there. However, when I rang Cottages.com they got it sorted within the hour and it was cleaned excellently. The only real issue was the mattress was very soft and every time I moved it meant my husband moved as well, and vice versa. However, that was the only issue. It's in a great location and although it has no parking we got a free parking directly over the road in a side street with no problem at all.

Nice little apartment, ideal location for shops and restaurants. Car parking nearby was ok. It could do with a few more cooking utensils but otherwise it was easy to eat in. The only annoying thing is that the boiler is on the bathroom wall which is alongside the bedroom and can be noisy.We would go again if we were in the area
