Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and stairgate. . Garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a steep sloping bank, drops and 30 shallow steps in the garden.. Set in its own grounds with gardens and a terraced bank, with steps that lead up towards Tower Woods, this large detached house is well proportioned and provides lots of space for larger families. Downstairs there is a cosy living room with a wood burner, a separate dining room, kitchen with breakfast area, utility room with washing machine and a downstairs toilet. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a bathroom and a separate toilet. Tower View enjoys a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle, and makes a great touring base. Approximately 350 yards down the road is a restaurant and spa.
The popular town of Bowness-on-Windermere is just 4 miles away and here you will find a great selection of boutique shops, pubs, cafés, bars and restaurants, as well as a cinema. Bowness is also home to the famous World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, while Windermere town is a further 2 miles away, and from here you can catch a train to explore the Lake District if you prefer not to drive.
There are plenty of lovely walks to suit everyone, perfect for those who love the great outdoors. Other popular activities in the area include cycling, sailing, fishing, and water sports. Grizedale Forest, 11 miles, has excellent mountain biking trails as well as Segway trails and Go Ape Treetop Adventure. Other places worth visiting within easy driving distance include Ambleside, 9 miles, Kendal, 11 miles, Ulverston, 12 miles, Hawkshead, 13 miles and Coniston, 19 miles. There is plenty to keep the children amused with the Fell Foot Park, 3 miles, Lakeland Motor Museum, 6 miles, Lakes Aquarium, 5 miles, and the South Lakes Safari Zoo, 16 miles. If you want to slow down the pace a little why not take a ride on a steam train or a leisurely boat ride across Lake Windermere. A very nice cottage overlooking the lake ideal for a nice breakaway the only fault with this cottage what's the parking come with good instructions how to park but could be very tricky. Also the cottage was very cold couldn't seem to get the heating to work very well the radiators never got hot had to leave it on all day and night and still didn't feel very warm

Pleasant cottage set in large grounds with fantastic views.Good Wi-Fi, plenty of entertainment.Parking slightly tricky and a few logs for the wood burner in December would have been welcomed.

Thank you so much. We had an amazing stay at Tower View. I was anxious about the parking situation but it was much easier than I had anticipated so please don’t let that put you off at all. The house is very spacious and cosy. The grounds are beautiful and we loved having nobody around us so the 4 children could have fun without worrying about neighbours. The beds were super comfy. The dining room is full of board games which we played all weekend and had such a laugh! There is even a PlayStation with lots of games which the kids enjoyed singing karaoke on! My daughter also loved all of the toy cars. We definitely recommend Tower View. I accidentally left a box full of fruit/veg/tins under one of the kitchen units so hopefully that was found and discarded of before the next guests went in. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
