The barns lie equidistant from the three highlights of Norfolk, namely the medieval city of Norwich, the Norfolk Broads and the beautiful North Norfolk coastline, You can be in the heart of any of these in just under 30 minutes. Visit Wells-next-the-Sea, with its picturesque quay, and head east or west from here to visit a string of pretty coastal villages and towns, with a variety of habitats including marshes, quays and wide sandy beaches. Go east for a spot of crabbing at Blakeney or a visit to Cromer Pier, or west for bracing Brancaster Beach or all the fun of the fair at Hunstanton. Head to Wroxham, the gateway to the Broads, where you can hire a day boat or join a tour and drift along these famous waterways. Or visit Norwich with its impressive Norman castle, an impressive cathedral, numerous museums, galleries and theatres along with a host of shopping opportunities, including two lovely shopping malls, an award winning daily open-air market and the artisan Lanes. You can also visit National Trust properties or historical attractions such as the Thursford Collection with its Christmas Spectacular and Santa’s Magical Journey. Stayed here for a week as a family of 6 adults. Very clear travel directions received from the owners prior to travel, and the barn has a key box to let yourself in. Plenty of parking space right outside. Shortly after arrival Donna came over to check we were ok and had everything we needed. She was very friendly and helpful. Donna also checked back with us a couple of times during our stay to make sure there were no issues. The barn is massive, with two lounges and a sun room there is plenty of space. Nice kitchen with everything you need. Large fridge which is in the small utility area. Really nice courtyard area where the hot tub is, and outdoor seating. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed sitting out in the sun. 3 of the bedrooms are downstairs, really long corridor, one bedroom has an ensuite, a bathroom is also downstairs which has a walk in shower. There is one bedroom upstairs, stairs go off the main lounge. This bedroom doesn't have an outside window, but does have large internal floor to ceiling glass. It had a small toilet. The shower cubicle is in part of the bedroom with a wooden screen, not in a separate room. There is a low beam in this bedroom so you need to be careful and it's probably not a suitable room for anyone who is fairly tall.The location of the barn is good for both Norwich and the coast. I would recommend this barn if you are a large group looking for somewhere to stay in Norfolk with home comforts and friendly owners.
