Guests say

Stable Cottage 3 in Dereham offers a pleasant stay with a refurbished shower, comfortable beds, and a warm conservatory. The working beef farm setting provides a unique experience, and the location serves as a great base for exploring the north coast. The swimming pool and play area are highlights for families, though some areas could benefit from maintenance and a refresh.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage spotless and others noting issues with bathroom cleanliness and kitchenware. The presence of dead flies and a marked sofa suggests room for improvement.

The location is generally appreciated as a good base for visiting nearby attractions, though the lack of village shop facilities is noted. The proximity to the north coast is a plus.

Guests have praised the comfortable beds and the warmth of the lounge and conservatory. However, some areas were reported to be chilly due to radiator issues, indicating that comfort levels may vary within the property.

Facilities like the swimming pool and play area are well-received, but there are comments about the need for maintenance, such as chipped paint and conservatory doors needing attention. The shower's functionality also received criticism.

There is no mention of gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to assess this category.

    Nice little cottage

The facilities within Moor Farm Stable Cottages have been really good and the kids loved playing in the play area (especially the trampoline and the football goal), the swimming pool is a great facility, although a few hooks in the shower would be beneficial. We stayed in cottage 3 which was nice and clean and was bigger than I thought on the photos when booking. Overall the accommodation could do with some money spending on it as things are becoming a little tired, especially the carpets. You have to remember that this is a working Beef farm and the conservatory gives a closeup view of this.Location wise it was a great base to get to the north coast amenities and beaches, we visited Pensthorpe Park which was a full and great day out for the wildlife lovers and the kids play grounds.

We stayed in stable three, which seemed clean upon arrival but upon looking at the bathroom, it appears that toilet cleaner had been put over the top of poop stains on the toilet, plus the underside of the toilet seat was dirty. All the dishes and cutlery were not very clean and most needed washing before using, not ideal on holiday. The shower seems new, but it doesn't turn off properly, so you have to turn it on and off several times to stop it dripping. The other rooms are fine, but just lack warmth and attention to detail and the place just needs a bit of a face lift - chipped paint, conservatory doors coming off the hinges, dead flies in conservatory dotted about and the clock didn't work, but it appears someone knew this as there was a shoe mark on the sofa when we got there! The location is good, albeit no shop facilities in the village. We were awoken on our last morning at 6am by the neighbouring stable's shower / boiler making a loud pulsing banging noise over and over again for about 45 minutes. It's an okay base if you're not spending much time there, but I think there are nicer places for the price.
