Surrounded by forests and a nature reserve, Alpaca walks, karting, Banham Zoo, paintballing and picturesque walks, are just some of the thrilling activities nearby.

A complimentary starter welcome pack along with toiletries will greet you on arrival. Inside the hut is a fabulous wood burning stove and a very comfortable king-size bed. With a built-in boom box and a 20 inch television to entertain you, you will feel relaxed and cosy whatever time of year you choose to stay.

Step onto the veranda and you will find the elegant, double ended bath where you can lie back, relax and enjoy the stars with your favourite bubbles whilst watching the wildlife around you. Dry off in front of the gas fire pit, and have fun cooking in the well-appointed outdoor kitchen.

Finish off the evening with a Twilight Hamper full of tempting delights such as marshmallows, popcorn, chocolate sauce and hot chocolate, which can be ordered from the owners on arrival, (extra charge). You can also enjoy breakfast in the morning at the Bistro.

With the adjacent land owned by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, there is plenty of opportunity birds and wildlife that you may never have seen so close before - don’t forget your binoculars! Set within 32 acres, this stunning glamping site literally brims with wildlife. The Hartley Hut is located just outside the village of Thompson, deep in Thetford Forest, on the outskirts of the forest canopy of beech and elm.

The Hartley Hut has its own private wood fired hot tub and there is a complementary 1h access to the natural swimming pool located within the Wilderness Spa; a bespoke outdoor spa experience to relax and unwind under the beautiful mature trees in King Edward viii Wood. Within walking distance there is a good pub, The Chequers Inn.

There are two similarly appointed huts nearby with ample space and privacy. For larger groups, there are other hideaways available to book on site.

Children over the age of 16 are welcome at the main retreat but cannot use the Wilderness Spa.

Subject to availability, early check-in from 1:30pm can be arranged for an additional fee of £20. This must be arranged with the owner directly 24h before arrival.
