Guests say

Beach Bungalow offers a spacious, comfortable stay with a modern kitchen, light-filled living areas, and a convenient location within walking distance of the beach and local transport. Guests appreciate the quiet neighbourhood, garden, and conservatory, though some mention the property could benefit from minor updates and additional kitchen equipment. The wet room is a useful feature, especially for those with mobility needs. While a few maintenance and cleanliness issues were noted, most guests found the bungalow cosy and well-suited for a relaxing seaside break.

Several guests noted minor cleaning issues, such as dirty utensils, chipped crockery, and the need to rewash items before use. Some also mentioned stained mattresses and odours from drains. However, the property was generally described as comfortable and tidy, with clean carpets and pleasant living spaces.

The bungalow is praised for its quiet setting and proximity to the beach, local buses, and town centre. Most guests found the location ideal for exploring Great Yarmouth and nearby attractions, though one guest felt it was a bit far from amenities.

Guests enjoyed the spacious layout, comfortable lounge, and garden seating. Some found the main bed and pillows less comfortable, and noted limited seating in the living room for larger groups. The wet room was appreciated for accessibility, though it could get very damp.

The kitchen is modern and spacious, but guests mentioned a lack of certain utensils and equipment. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as a broken conservatory door, tired bathroom, and weathered garden furniture. Board games were incomplete, and some appliances needed attention.

There were no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

On the whole the holiday cottage was nice, the location was close enough to the beach to walk and very close to local buses. Some aspects of the property were tired tho and could do with some maintenance. Several glasses and mugs were chipped or cracked and were not that clean, needing to be washed before using. The fan in the main bedroom made noise but no air was circulated, the garden furniture was weathered and one chair had a crack in the seat. The outside conservatory door does not open which on such a hot week made the conservatory and sitting room pretty much unusable. There was no knife that was suitable for cutting bread. At the end of the stay we were asked to strip the beds. We did this but the sight of the stained mattress was not something I really wanted to see. The drains (kitchen sink and shower) absolutely stink when you first run water. All that said, over all the house was comfortable, in a convenient position and I would stay there again if I needed to be in the area, but I would take my own knife and hope the drains were fixed!

Loved Beach Bungalow. There was plenty of space overall, with the main bedroom having a divinely comfortable bed (although a little lower than we are used to]. A hairdryer would have been useful. The lounge was light & airy, & the conservatory was a bonus - additional seating in there would have been lovely. The kitchen / diner was huge, & having a dual aspect made it seem bigger still. The only complaint about the lovely kitchen would be the lack of equipment, ie, no colander, spatula, jug suitable for microwave use, & maybe a larger range of overproof dishes & extra saucepan lids.. The bathroom was good - one of the reasons for choosing Beach Bungalow was for the wet-room facility. The garden was a decent size, & had a weather been better we would have made more use of the comfortable patio furniture.
