Our main reason for staying at beach happy was that it was dog friendly. Not all bars and restaurants allow dogs in this was why we chose self catering .Unfortunately the oven was very dirty inside. The trays to cook with was DISGUSTIING .We used the toaster and one pan to boil eggs. The toilet seat did not fit.I don’t know if the rubber on the shower screen had ever been cleaned. The hover had never been emptied. The sofa was covered in a previous dogs hairs. The beds was very uncomfortable.Beach happy is not situated in a very nice area.Would definitely NOT recommend.

The area made us feel unsafe. Noisy. Beds uncomfortableBlocked drain so bad smellDidn't have a garden just a alley to a back gateClose to everything which was good and walking distance Place is very small, wouldn't recommend for big family. May a couple of with just 1 child with a couple of adults. Not ideal for tall people or old dogs as steps to go in front door and kitchen

I didn’t want to say ‘no, we wouldn’t recommend’ Beach Happy but I would like to say yes we would with some alterations to the advert. The accommodation is situated in a pretty run down area on a plus there are convenience shops nearby and nearest supermarket a 15 min walk or 5 min drive and the main BeachRoad is a couple of minutes walk and the beach is lovely. The house was very clean and well equipped. The three bedrooms were not too bad in size with a little bit of storage.Downstairs was very small and not suitable for six adults. We ended up as 3 adults and a toddler and it was just ok.The tv spent much of time we used it with the circle of doom! There was a lot of noise in the evenings. Very loud talking from local people hanging around the shops drinking. However there was no trouble and we didn’t feel intimidated. The accommodation is advertised as having a patio. Fortunately we only had our dog there for one day/night as it was about 6 paving slabs across the back of the house leading from back door to rear access gate/ bins. This was not cleaned and was very slippery.Requests from guestsBetter mattresses, possibly better sound proofing for windows. Better WiFi.Parking was fine. Contact with owner once we arrived got the permit sorted.
