Just had a lovely 10 days here,so quiet,10 minutes walk to the lovely hemsby beach, spacious dog friendly property,down a little lane which is hard to find in the dark but use what 3 words takes you to the front door, properties on the lane are being done up but didn't affect us but some people are more picky,duke and ruby loved going to the beach every day,it has everything you need for a lovely holiday,love it and will be back next year

Getaway is close to a caravan park (right next to it), and when we went in October, it was off-season and therefore quiet. Not sure if the same applies to the summer months.The direction provided was spot on, and therefore it was fairly easy to locate the house. The street it is on is unpaved, and the turn is quite narrow but manageable.There is plenty of parking, and the house looks nice. The house inside is spacious.The living room area is composed of a 3-seater sofa and a 2-seater with a footrest, the dining table, and then the kitchen follows. The only negative thing about the living area is the fact that once you open the blinds and the curtain to the door that goes to the garden, you are next to a footpath and everyone who goes by has a good view of the house. Privacy therefore, is not great in that area.The garden is of an excellent size and if you have pets, they will enjoy the space, however, as mentioned above, the fence closer to the driveway area is low so you might want to keep your pets off that area especially if they are prone to barking as they will be able to see people passing by and occasionally some of the people actually stopped and looked over the fence.The cutlery is provided, but it is inside the drawer by the stove (hidden) but there is a sign explaining this. Talking about the cutlery drawer, we found it not to be so clean as there was bits of what looked like grated cheese in some compartments and some of the cutlery was not clean. The cleanliness was good however, the kitchen area again could do with some more attention. The oven was not very clean, so I did not use it.There was a welcome pack provided with some fruit, some biscuits, some porrigde. Please ensure you bring toilet paper (one roll provided), kitchen liner (provided only what was in the kitchen bin), and kitchen paper towel (one provided but almost finished).A small bottle of fresh milk was present in the fridge, which was appreciated with plenty of tea bags, and the coffee machine also had some spare pods (4).The water in the main bathroom was warm but not hot, which I could only achieve by switching the water tank heater some time before the shower time. On the other hand, we gave up using the ensuite shower as it would scald you and there was no way to make the temperature colder.The bed in the main bedroom is a bit squeaky, and the one in the second bedroom is a bit lumpy, but overall we managed to sleep well. Overall, our stay was good and the house is definitely a good choice if you want to be based in Hemsby.You could walk to the beach (however, the path was uneven and too dark at night). It doesn't take too long to get to the beach or the center of Hemsby on foot from the house .
