The place is lovely and the views are spectacular across the fields. But there was no Christmas tree so had to buy 1, shower in un-suit is leaking, toilet seat in all way toilet was very loose, step outside French doors is dangerous ( 1 breeze block ) needs proper step. Other thank these few bits it gorgeous. There is a holiday park on the door step don’t know what it will be like when it open it was closed when we were there. Local pub was lovely and cosy, beach is amazing.

Great weekend away with friends, metfield was a lovely property and had everything you needed and furnished to hugh standards,lovely setting close to the beach ,pub where we had a lovely carvery and fish and chip shop which were tasty aswell .very enjoyable stay ,lovely and clean and a nice welcome pack on arrival ,as it was dec we had lovely twinkling lights in the big open main room which was a nice touch, would return ,only negative was i did ask for the heating to be put on before we arrived and it hadnt been in the main room so took overnight to warm up properly on the first night and i cant understand why the garden to the side is not fenced in as they supply garden chairs and you can take pets and for the safety of young children staying in the property aswell ,also the step out of the patio doors needs to be done properly. Overall a lovely stay

Had an enjoyable stay in this property, the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Although dog friendly, the light furnishings were not conducive to dogs coming in from a wet beach walk. Shame the layout wasn't reversed and the large windows looked out over the farmland and not the caravan park opposite. Beware the small step from the entrance hall into the living area, not easy to see when you first arrive!Nice local pub, friendly people and reasonably priced food.Unfortunately, some of the saucepans were not fit for purpose as they didn't work on the convection hob. There were no dishcloths for washing up, only one tea towel and no kitchen roll. Luckily, there are several supermarkets nearby.The 'step' from the living area into the unfenced garden is only negotiable by the very agile. This has been pointed out in previous reviews. The stacked bricks are very unstable and slippery when wet, an accident waiting to happen.
